Job Summary
The Senior staff should be able to provide engineering design services required for hydrogeology, groundwater modelling, geology, karst, geophysics, geotechnical engineering. The works shall be under the supervision of the project manager as per his directions. The jobholder assesses the integrity of soil, rock, groundwater and other natural conditions prior to major construction projects. They advise on procedures required for such developments and the suitability of appropriate construction materials. The jobholder works closely with Project Managers for the review and validation of geological studies findings with respective clients and authorities. He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in geological studies.

- Support Project managers with the management of client relations and expectations as needed
- Support Project managers in client presentation and workshops as needed.
- Ensure client satisfaction with geological data.
Internal Business Process
- Collect and analyze external data including relevant geological regulations and previously conducted geological studies for projects of moderate complexity.
- Conduct pre-assessment studes and organize and execute field studies and surveys for geological studies of moderate complexity.
- Gather and interpret geological, geochemical or geophysical information from sources such as survey data or aerial photos for geological studies of moderate complexity.
- Develop geological findins and potential mitigation measures to negative effects of proposed projects of moderate complexity.
- Develop technical reports for studies of moderate complexity
- Validate and review deliverables with clients and authorities and incorporate comments for geological studies.
- Support project managers in developing, reviewing and updating work programs and man-hour estimates and in managing changes in project scope, schedule or budgets as needed.
- Support Project Managers in managing project contractual risks as needed
- Assist project managers with implementing quality control policies and procedures on deliverables and conduct peer review on team members deliverables.
- Implement corporate policies and procedures.

- Attend periodic training to further develop relevant skills.
Knowledge, skills, competencies and experience
- Chartered or licensed professional geologist or equivalent international certification
- MS in Geology or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution is preferred
- Track record of geological studes
- Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
- Understanding of fundamental principles of mineralogy, petrography, soil mechanics and hydrogeology
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and managerial skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, Arabic is an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in design and supervision of geology supporting disciple hydrology, groundwater modeling, geotechnical, karst, geophysics, geotechnical engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in geological or geophysical studies in a top tier regional/multinational engineering consultancy firm.
- Track record in managing geological studies across a variety of projects
- Experience in the middle east is preferred.
